Sunday Smorgasboard

Okay…so there is a lot to share. Not sure how much the Dr. Who Rhymes will let me share, but here are a few pictures of things we did to celebrate our fun reading week.
We read The Cat in the Hat and did a character traits activity.
Students gave traits and then had to give a detail from the book that supported the trait.
Then we made Oobleck and reviewed the properties.
We also compared its properties to those of water and a rock.
After that we read, Yertle the Turtle and made turtles.
After we made the paper plate turtles, we tried to stack them like they did in the story.
Students rolled two die, added them together and colored the hats.
The first one to finish coloring all hats, won.
We also made green eggs and ham. It’s a tradition.
My kiddos also wrote about how they could make a difference like the Lorax.
We did a bunch more, including these centers. If you are celebrating next week, have tons of fun.
So onto next week. I’m linking up with Deedee!
As always, you can click on any picture to take you to a link either on TpT or to google docs for a freebie.  There are lots of freebies in this document, so click, click, click!
Here is my St. Patty’s Day Pack.  It includes much more than centers. In this pack you’ll find, 3 literacy centers, 3 math centers, 1 making words activity, shared reading activities, the craft below, a science experiment and mini book about St. Patty’s day.

Also, don’t forget there is one more day to enter my Silhouette giveaway

  3. Thanks for the freebies, they are great! I love seeing what other teachers are doing in their classrooms. I didn't see a link to your vocab lesson. I have been using and loving these each week!

  4. I saw the kid with the Bengals shirt on, and I was like "what?!" until I remembered you are in Cincinnati! That totally threw me for a loop for a second, cause that's where I'm from.

Can I ask you where you got the sheet with the hats? We are celebrating You Know Who next week because we were off last week, and I need more math stuff!

Thanks so much for the freebies!
