The End of the Year as We Know It!

So I really, really love baseball season.  And I love this week in particular because we will be doing our nonfiction unit on baseball. I’m sorry I didn’t get my visual plans up.  It’s been a very long and busy day and if I wanted to sleep at all tonight, I was going to have to pass that “To Do” up.
But I will share some of the things we’ll be doing this week.
Here is our sight word and listening center. If you want to grab them, just click below.
We will also be doing some centers from my baseball center pack.
These will be our Word Work and Math centers for the week.
I’ll post more of our activities as they happen.
Are you all ready for tomorrow? At our school it is testing week.
Yes…the dreaded test.
In order to pump up our fourth grade buddies, we have been sending them testing treats with messages written on the back. I got the idea from my friend Hope.  They have LOVED it.
Here are a few pictures of the treats.
We are also winding down to the very end.  I know these last few weeks will go way too fast.
I wanted a fun end of the year award to give to each of my students, so I thought of this:
There are 24 awards that correlate with a dollar store treat! You can use them with or without the prize and they come in color and black and white.  I’m pretty excited to share these with my kiddos.
And finally, we just had conferences and sent home interims. My student’s parents always ask what they can do over the summer to help them to stay prepared for 2nd grade.  So I created a pack last year to send home with kiddos.  It’s all common core aligned and will give their parents a good resource for extra summer practice.
You can check it out by clicking below.
It was top 10 best seller last year on Teachers pay Teachers.
I will also be creating a Kindergarten to First Grade version.
Have a great night friends!
