This week we started our trip around the world. Thanks to Stephanie Stewart and Sarah Cooley my next three weeks are planned.  They have some fabulous Holiday Around the World Units.  We also had a visit from our own little elf and started my Merry, Merry, Mistletoe Centers. For writing we’re doing some Informational writing about each country. I created a little writing pack with webs for pre-writing and then a sheet for each country and table of contents. We write after learning about each country.  You can grab this little freebie by liking me on Facebook

We also started a data unit in math.  Instead of our boring old data questions we started with a few fun Christmas questions. We discussed 3 different ways to represent the data we collected from the questions.
After collecting the data we created a pictograph, we represented with names, and we represented the cookie graph by putting C’s and S’s for chocolate chip and sugar.
The next day my students were asked:
After we created our pictograph, my kiddos go their own paper and had to represent their data in a different way. They did an awesome job!

This week we also decorated our house and my boys had so much fun decorating the tree. It was precious to see.

I also picked up this cute pillow for our room. I love Marshalls! I’m dangerous there!!!

We took our kiddos to the Cincinnati Zoo this week too. They have the Festival of Lights. Such a great tradition for our little family. Unfortunately, the night we chose to go, everyone in Cincinnati attended. I absolutely love our zoo though. It’s Amazing!
Speaking of Christmas, what are you asking for this Christmas? I thought I’d share some of the things on my wish list.

This is my favorite scent ever!
Love this jewelry!

These boots have been on my list for awhile now. I’m addicted to boots. I can’t get enough!
I love this coat!
And I really want this pillow.

Finally, I thought I’d share two new apps that I’m loving since I’m the paparazzi of our family.
This app is called Lens Light and you can add all kinds of fun affects to your pictures.
See the fun Bokeh hearts. Then I used Rhonna Designs app to add the words.

I am also loving the Retrica Camera app.
It makes really cool vintage looking pictures.

So that’s my 5 for 5! And it’s still Friday! A record for me and this link-up.
Have a great weekend friends.
