We don’t have much longer until Spring Break and I’m pretty pumped. Until then, some of my favorite lessons are coming up! I absolutely love everything St. Patty’s Day. This Italian girl, is not one bit Irish, but you’d think I was, with how into this holiday I get.
During Shared Reading time we cover so many standards with this adorable book. If you haven’t read Green Shamrocks, you so should. It’s so cute and filled with options.
You can take care of the rest of your week with my Shamrock Centers and More. This includes some fun center activities, as well as mini-books, a Skittles science experiment, a leprechaun writing craft and more.
If you want a few St. Patty’s freebies, check out my Visual Lesson Plans from last year.
We also had such a wonderful Read Across America week. Each day was filled with fun, including our annual author visit.
In addition to theme days, our author and buddy reading, we also gave away 10 dollar gift cards to Barnes and Noble for students who were caught reading when they weren’t expected to be reading. We also had 2 lucky winners for these baskets as well. Students guess the number of “bookworms” in the jar and won these.
