Meet The Teacher!

Hey y’all! I’m Michelle, Shell, Shelley, Mommy, Mrs. Oakes or all of the above. I am married to an amazing man and we have two adorable and crazy little boys. I’m also a mommy to an English Bulldog named Gus, who sheds, slobbers and takes up half our couch.

My sweet hubby and I.

(Our Recent Anniversary trip to the Bahamas)
Drew is 7 and sweet and quiet.
Landon, our 4 year old goofball. He’ll crack you right up.
These boys are my life.
I’m a self-confessed shopaholic, reality t.v. loving, bracelet stacking, country music obsessed, crafter.
I love to workout and spend time with my family.

THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS…
My boys. Working out. Target. Photography. Hobby Lobby. Shabby Chic Decor. The Beach. Blogging. Yoga Pants. Reality T.V. Shopping. Jesus. Boots. Tory Burch. Jewelry.  Peach Rings. Organization.

IF YOU WEREN’T A TEACHER, WHAT WOULD YOU WANT TO BE?
I would love to be an event planner or stylist.

THREE LITTLE WORDS THAT DESCRIBE YOU.
Determined. Giving. Patient.

FINISH THE SENTENCE, “________,  SAID NO TEACHER EVER!!”
“I would love to collect more data…said no teacher EVER!!”

Q: IT’S YOUR BIRTHDAY AND YOU CAN INVITE ANYONE {DEAD OR ALIVE} TO THE PARTY. WHO ARE YOU INVITING?
Luke Bryan. He can crash my party anytime!

Q: IF SOMEONE WROTE A BOOK ABOUT YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD BE THE TITLE?
 Her Crazy Life

Q:YOU GET TO PICK ONE SUPERPOWER. WHAT IS IT?
Healing! I would love the power to cure those suffering.

Q: WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE QUOTE OR SAYING?

Audrey Hepburn’s quotes are my favorite.

Q: IF YOU HAD TO SING ONE SONG ON AMERICAN IDOL, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
A Thousand Years by Christina Perri

Q: ARE YOU A MORNING PERSON OR A NIGHT OWL?
I’m both, because I have to be.  I stay up late blogging, watching reality T.V. and working out. Normally, I get up at 4:30 to get ready for school.  Sleep is overrated when you are a teacher, mommy, and blogger.

Q: WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE RESOURCE THAT YOU’VE CREATED IN YOUR TPT SHOP?
My Shared Reading units I created last year are my favorite.  I spent so much time researching the Common Core and what is expected of our kiddos. I felt my reading instruction, especially in regard to comprehension was the best it has ever been.

Q: SHARE SOMETHING WE MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU!
I’ve been with my husband since I was 16! Furthermore, that means I’ve been with him, longer than I’ve been without him. Crazy!! We never broke up, even through separate colleges. I love that man!

Now you can go link up with Steph right now and Blog Hoppin’ on Monday for Teacher Week.
