First, I’m so sorry this took me so long. The 100th day is only 3 days away and I’m in the midst of planning 2 field trips, a birthday party, trying to apply to kindergarten for my sweet Drew and we have the upcoming Tri-State Blogger meet up. Â So it has been a crazy couple of weeks! So without further ado…Â

So the rest of this post is just the randomness that has been happening in first grade the past two weeks. Â
Â
Last week we worked on our Science and Technology Standards on building, with a unit on The Three Little Pigs.Â
We brainstormed tools used for building
We also did some fun Three Little Pigs Activities. Sorry I forgot my camera. Â
Â
We read this book. Awesome book for this building standard.
Then my kiddos were given sticks and modeling clay to create a building that had to withstand the strong wind of the Big Bad Wolf (aka: hairdryer with a wolf head attached).Â
So much FUN!
We’ve also been busy with centers!Â
 Making Words: ONE HUNDRED
100th Day Mini-book
We’ve also been learning about Visualizing and making Mental Images.Â
Here are my cuties, focusing in one object and seeing it in great detail.Â
This was the intro to this new topic.Â
I’ll be back later this week with pictures from our 100th Day.Â
I’m also going to be adding some pages to my Reader’s Workshop Response Sheets and I’m going to be working on a fun new unit. Â
STAY TUNED!Â
Â
Have a great rest of the week friends.
