PRO-crastination

While my hubby is out living it up, celebrating St. Patrick’s Day like the Irishman he isn’t… I’m here, procrastinating. I’m usually not at all, one to put things off, but I don’t know any teacher who enjoys doing what I have to do and in the words of Junie B. “It’s name is report cards.” So report cards rank right up there with lunch duty, lice and shoe tying 50 times per day.  There are few parts of teaching that just aren’t enjoyable and those are a few of them.  So I thought I’d blog instead.  I’m going to post a bunch of stuff, so hold on for one random ride into my world.

First I thought I’d upload some pictures I took of charts in my room. I took this a hundred years ago and forgot to share. They aren’t all beautiful and fancy like my friends.
 Next we celebrated St. Patty’s Day in our room again this week.
My kiddos did centers
{Which are marked down to 5.00 through the end of March if you still want to grab them.}
We made leprechaun punch and wrote out the ingredients and directions!

Then our pot of gold went missing!
Our room was a mess and we had to go on a hunt for a tricky leprechaun.
 Footprints and green silly string.
A clue!
My kiddos were so excited. They had to tell EVERYONE along the way about that tricky guy. We finally were led back to our classroom, where we found our pot of gold filled with candy and green necklaces.

We also got the sweetest little surprise from my friend Shannon who recently visited us.  Because we have been inferring, I gave them clues as to what might be inside.
Plus she sent ME these:
Ummm… the girl must know, I love my pens.  Especially these colors!
She’s too kind.
Well I guess that’s enough for tonight. I’ll be back soon with tons of stuff.
Night all! Happy St. Patty’s!

  1. I love your anchor charts! I am pinning these so I can find them again next year! It's too late now, however I want to use MANY more next year! Which as my class discovered today is only about 71 days away…yikes…
