Miscellaneous Monday

Hope you all had a great first day back. That “springing ahead” has me all tired, so I’ll make this post quick! We started our second week of St. Patty’s day fun.  I’m pretty excited for the events of this week.  We’ll be reading “I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Shamrock” and do some cute little activities, we’ll make Leprechaun punch and I’m pretty sure we may get a visit from a tricky little leprechaun.  We have a pot of gold (Twix and Rolos) in our classroom that any leprechaun would be happy to steal.
We have six centers in our room each week. One, being our poetry center.  Last we read the following poem. Many times, my kiddos have to read the poem in the pocket chart and fill in the blanks, as well as illustrate, as a part of their center time. Click below for your copy

I love our centers for this week. If you need a little math center I’ve created a freebie for you! If you download it, please let me know how you like it.
This week we are also working on inferring. To introduce the concept I created some inferring cards. You can download those below as well.

I also have some great news. My sweet friend Katie King
(THE QUEEN OF THE FIRST GRADE JUNGLE)
Just opened her very own TpT store.  Her first packet is so darling and well done!
She also has some great freebies in her store. Click below to check out her cute unit.
Have a great week friends.
I’ll be back with more pics from our St. Patty’s Day fun soon!
XOXO
