We had a shorter week due to teacher inservice so we didn’t get to do as much with pumpkins as I would have liked, but we have Halloween activities next week, so I’ll fit a little bit more in then.
First we read Pumpkin, Pumpkin and made this little Pinterest inspired pumpkin craft.
Their pumpkin life cycle fits perfectly in the little pumpkin pouch.
Then we did some fun pumpkin themed centers as mentioned in this post.
We also observed the outside and inside of our pumpkins and recorded our observations.
Pumpkin Observation
(function() { var scribd = document.createElement(“script”); scribd.type = “text/javascript”; scribd.async = true; scribd.src = “http://www.scribd.com/javascripts/embed_code/inject.js”; var s = document.getElementsByTagName(“script”)[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(scribd, s); })();
Finally we decorated our pumpkins.
Love a good sticker decorating kit.
No mess and easy!

I too did the pumpkin life cycle activity. My students and I thought it was pretty cool.
Their pumpkins turned out soooo cute! Gonna have to try the sticker idea. I love painting with my students, but paintin' pumpkins every year makes me BoNkErS!
