I have had a lot of sweet friends checking on me to make sure everything is okay after yesterday’s tornadoes swept through Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.  We were very fortunate that while they were expecting the storms to make their way near our home, it ended up just south and east of us.  I’ve never rushed home so fast from school to get my boys.  Sweet little Drew had been preparing all day for the storms, collecting his stuffed animals, food, and supplies for the basement.  He even had his dinosaur digging hard hat with light, just in case our power went out.
While we were fortunate, others were not.  My teaching partner got home just before the tornadoes hit just miles from her home.  Quite a few communities close to us were affected by the horrible storms yesterday.  I pray that they will be able to rebuild, heal and find peace.  If you would like to help those affected by the storms you can click this link to the Red Cross.

  1. So glad that you guys weren't hit! We also had a tornado sweep through here in Georgia. It came right across the street my neighborhood is on, and even though I was in "duck and cover," we were fortunate enough to escape any damage.
