I love linking up with Five for Friday. Â Random is my middle name, so here it goes:
{ONE}
So I have some little people still struggling with decoding and a few working on fluency. I have lots of flash cards of nonsense/real words and fry fluency phrases, but I wanted something different that my kiddos could go practice on their own and then come back to me and I could evaluate them, monitor progress, etc. Â Because I want my kiddos to be fluent decoders and readers, I decided to create a few PowerPoint presentations. I could adjust the time before the slide switches depending on child and their ability and they would have to practice decoding the words, or reading the phrases, depending on the activity.
Here is a sample slide:
Every few seconds the slide will change and they will decode the word.
This was great, but I was using my laptop. Then I found this amazing app!
You can upload your power point presentation to the iPad, let your kiddos practice and then have them come back up and assess how they are doing. Â I love it. The possibilities are endless and the best part is, it’s free.

Last week this little munchkin ended up in the ER. Â Someone learned a hard lesson about putting his finger in door hinges. Â So sad for his little finger. Â He really has been a trooper.
In his own words, “I’m so, so brave.”
So today we got some of stitches taken out and check up with the plastic surgeon.
Can you hear the screeching? He seriously broke my heart. So when we finished up he got to go and get ice cream. Nothing a little Graeter’s can’t fix.

So since that rhyming guy and his people say no using his name, characters or any darn other thing in print, I had to redo my product. If you bought my pack for this week in previous years, don’t buy it. If not…these are pretty cute and common core aligned. I promise your kiddos will have fun.
(FOUR)
I’m pretty sure I’m going to be going here soon! Yippee!!
(FIVE)
You all probably know by now that I love a good beauty product, but they can be super expensive. Â I found this link through Pinterest. The Drugstore Princess shows a high end product and its drugstore match. Â Great for those saving for Disney.
Have a great weekend friends.

Finally in First
I'm getting an ipad for my classroom, and I'm always looking for cool things to do with it! I'm so jealous that you're going to Disney. I used to go often, but just can't afford it now!

It looks like ice cream was well-deserved!!! Thanks for sharing about that app…that was the first I had heard of it.

There is nothing worse than when you little ones are hurting. Glad to know ice cream helped!
My dad just invited us to Disney, but it is the last week of school. Sigh. If only there was a way! Enjoy it!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
